Camp Programs
We offer summer MiniCamps for children that explore various aspects of the American Revolution and colonial life.
Join us for a summer filled with intrigue, stories, activities and discovery! Camps include live demonstrations and a show-and-tell of 18th century life and objects. Fill your Thursdays with books, toys, games, and activities related to the colonial era. Discover the stories of women, people of color, and spies who all helped create America!
Summer Programs
Each Thursday in July, we provide a mini-camp from 9:00-3:00. Sign up for one ‘camp’ or all four. Campers will immerse themselves in hands-on 18th century life, uncovering the stories of the people who helped build our nation and how they can continue to be a part of America’s unfolding story. Each week campers will dress in colonial clothing, participate in games and activities, create projects and eat a colonial-inspired snack.
In addition, we offer a collaborative week-long camp with the Gundalow Company where campers spend time here at the Independence Museum and time in Portsmouth with the Gundalow Company. mini-camps for children that explore various aspects of the American Revolution and colonial life.
